Think quickly about all the important issues on which you have cast your vote through the years. Consider how these votes mattered to you, and to future generations who were also affected by changes in this area. It does not take long to see, that a vote is really an investment in your future – you are trying to create a better life for yourself and your community. Unfortunately, not all politicians are going to be upfront with you.
In a case like they have in the state of Illinois right now, sometimes a representative may be trying a bit too hard to please all of their many constituents, and so they end up being less than they appear in some regards. Sandra Stoppa is a woman currently running for office in this state, but it seems her voting history does not align too well with her current democratic affiliation. It seems that in the past, Stoppa voted on issues with more of a republican slant to her support: her agenda seems to be a bit muddled.
But look at the upcoming presidential election as another example. If you are unhappy with the current administration’s handling of sensitive financial issues, you can use your vote to affect positive change for the future. That is very powerful, indeed.
